The inaugural gathering of the New York Area Chapter took place on Tuesday, 5 November 2019. This was the seventh EBRD Alumni Association regional chapter launched, after Washington DC, Poland, Canada, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France.
The event provided an opportunity to hear briefly from Dr Willem Buiter ('05). Before Willem joined Citigroup as Global Chief Economist and now Special Economic Adviser, he was Chief Economist at the EBRD. He will share some memories of his time at the Bank and reflect on the economic impact of EU membership on CESEE member states.
The gathering took place at 18:30, in the Peacock Parlour at the Raines Law Room at the William, Midtown.
