EBRD alumni were invited to a virtual discussion on “COVID as a Wake up Call“, which took place on 27 May at 13:30 (BST/GMT+1) via Zoom.
Why did some countries perform better than others? How can we minimize the scope and duration of the recession? How should we think about the "after"?
These and other questions were addressed in a lecture by EBRD alumnus Philippe Aghion ('00), currently Professor at the College de France and at the LSE, as well as a fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The lecture was followed by a panel discussion with the participation of EBRD Chief Economist Beata Javorcik.
