Join the EBRD Annual Meeting & Business Forum in Morocco RESPONDING TO CHALLENGES IN A TURBULENT WORLDThe Bank looks forward to welcoming you in person in Marrakech in May. The overall theme of the 2022 Business Forum is Responding to Challenges in a Turbulent World and is refocusing this year’s event, in response to the current crisis and its implications for the EBRD regions.
The event, which opens on 10 May and ends two days later, will provide an opportunity to discuss the war on Ukraine, as well as global challenges such as supporting economic growth, combating climate change and strengthening the business environment in the regions where the Bank invests.
Panels at the Business Forum will also discuss digitalisation, sustainability and the transition to a green economy, the mobilisation of private capital, equality and inclusion, as well as other topical themes.
The EBRD Annual Meeting is a unique event, bringing together government representatives, business people, policymakers, academics and opinion leaders. In addition to the meeting of the Board of Governors, it will include a diverse schedule of parallel events, such as the Business Forum (including a session on the host country’s investment outlook), a programme for civil society organisations and the annual Donors’ Meeting.
This year participants will be able to attend a Business Connect Hub created in order to encourage Business Guests’ participation and attract new clients from the private sector in FDI countries. A series of business development focused events and activities are being designed exclusively for on-site participants.
The Bank will aim to welcome participants on site while allowing remote participation; through a highly complex technical infrastructure, it will incorporate features of both virtual and in-person meetings to create a seamless programme of events and a smooth experience for both remote and on-site participants. The events will be streaming all public sessions to wider audiences and the sessions will be directly accessible from the dedicated EBRD Annual Meeting page.In view of the challenges of the pandemic and the economic climate, the EBRD will exceptionally waive the registration fee for this year's Annual Meeting.
