Guests were invited to join HE Mr Otabek Akbarov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, members of the British-Uzbek Society and the Uzbek community in London, for a special screening of the Uzbek feature film Shabnam on Thursday 11 June 2015 in the EBRD HQ Auditorium.

The film is a contemporary love story with a twist, giving the Western viewer insight into the lives and concerns of young people in the country.

Special guests included film director Mirmaksud Akhunov, as well as Asya Batraeva, Head of International Cooperation at Uzbekkino, the national film agency.
