The EBRD at 25: Investing for Change

EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti and distinguished guests discussed the successes and shortcomings of 25 years of transition – as well as the prospects of the next quarter century.

Initial findings of the Bank’s third and latest public attitude survey of its countries of operations provided the baseline for a fascinating discussion. Participating in the discussion were the former President of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga; EBRD Governor for Jordan, Minister Imad Najib Fakhoury; and then incoming EBRD Chief Economist Professor Sergei M. Guriev. The Moderator will be Jonathan Charles, Managing Director of Communications.

The discussion began at 16.30 on Monday 11 April in the Auditorium of the EBRD Headquarters building.
