Film screening: "Son of Saul" (Hungary)
Hungarian filmmaker Laszlo Nemes’ debut feature, “Son of Saul”, won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at this year’s Oscars in Hollywood.
Together with the Hungarian Cultural Centre, the EBRD was proud to screen this moving, intimate story which concerns one man’s quest in the impossible circumstances of a Nazi concentration camp. After the screening, film critic Henry Fitzherbert interviewed actor Géza Röhrig who plays the main character in the film.
Alumni joined EBRD staff and guests from the Hungarian community in London, as well as the Balassi Institute and the Hungarian Embassy, on Wednesday 14 September for this event.
