The EBRD African-Caribbean Network clebrated Bank History Month on Thursday 17 November at EBRD HQ, One Exchange Square, London EC2A 2JN.
The event began with tea and coffee at 17:30 in the coffee bar, followed by a presentation entitled “The Lost Kingdoms of Africa” with Professor Gus Casely-Hayford, a well-known art historian who has written widely on African culture.
He was the moderator of an acclaimed, fascinating four-part television programme on BBC 4 and is a professor at King’s College London and SOAS. His presentation at the EBRD will focus on recent research of the Asante, Nubian and Berber kingdoms.
